When Searching for Stock Photography

Use the following websites first:

– Thinkstock.com
each photo is $9.80 with the package Medge purchased.
– Shutterstock.com
each photo is $9.80 with the package Medge purchased.
– Gettyimages.com
– Istockphoto.com
*Each photo is $1.50 per credit. Enter price accordingly in Seeker.
– Veer.com
New info from ATT site. The important note is that there is a "try image' button now. I know that there was issue that they got 10 downloads, and people were downloading for comps and they had no way to know the difference. So when pulling any images that are purchased (you have to read the info in the sidebar when it opens on each image to know that) we need to pull the 'try' version. As far as purchasing, we do buy so few images for att we havent taken part as the clients don’t want to purchase more expensive images to 'donate' to the site.

As an enrolled participant in the AT&T Stock Photography program you have the opportunity to purchase images at discount rates from Veer.com. Veer now provides even more reasons to consider their images:

  • A.) Multi-User license (up to 10 seats) included with each purchase
  • B.) The ability to download hi-res comps for use in presentations only by clicking “Try Image”.
  • C.) Access to many of the same collections and photographers as other stock agencies
  • When you purchase from Veer: Make sure to purchase at least the large file, this is an AT&T requirement for all AT&T stock photography.
  • Log into the special account to ensure you get discounts and use the available credits when making any purchases. Be sure to include your PO and agency information in the order area before checking out.
  • If you have any questions, please contact lisad@proterraadvertising.com or larrys@proterraadvertising.com

*if you need to remove the watermark to provide a proof to the client, you can use the zoom-in feature on istockphoto.com and the watermark will change location on the photo. Take a screen-shot of the area from the zoomed-in image and place it on top of the larger photo in Photoshop. (see CC or SA for clarification on this).
*It is sometimes helpful to create a lightbox (in istockphoto and Gettyimages) when sharing photo options internally. Speak with the AE assigning the job to discuss their preference.
  • Each employee should have their own username and password for each site. If you do not have one, you will need to make one linked to your employee credit card information. If you do not have an employee credit card, talk to someone who does and sign-in with their information.
  • Make sure you save the image in the associated job folder in the "art" section. Do NOT change the name of the photo from what it originally was when downloaded from the website, as this will be what is used to identify the image when it is ready to be purchased.

After purchase of hi-res Image

  • After image has been approved to purchase, take a screen-shot of the image from its' website with the pricing information visible.
  • Enter the necessary information under the "Expense" tab for the job in Seeker. Upload the screen shot in the "Upload file of bill" section.
  • E-mail the expense entry number to the AE in charge of the job.
  • Save the hi-res image in the appropriate folder following this path: /Volumes/data/CREATIVE/PHOTOS - LOGOS
